Paralegal I - Litigation

Nick attended Shawnee State University where he earned an Associate’s degree in Applied Business with a concentration in legal assisting. Nick joined the Burnside team in February 2014 as our Litigation Paralegal. Nick most enjoys the close contact that he has with the clients while helping them through the litigation process.

Nick is a Lucasville native and enjoys watching his favorite movie, The Hunger Games, reading, spending time with his family, and fishing.

Keneda Keeton

Keneda Keeton

Legal Assistant II/Subrogation Specialist

Keneda attended Shawnee State University where she received her Associate's degree in Legal Assisting Technology. She first started here as an intern in March of 2015 and became our Subrogation Specialist in May of 2015. Keneda assists Attorney Burnside with the recovery of subrogation liens.

In her free time, Keneda enjoys reading, crocheting, and spending time with her son. Keneda also knows some sign language and in previous employment has had to use said skills to interpret and communicate.

Keneda is a hard worker, fast learner and determined to succeed in the legal field. She adapts well and is always ready to face and conquer new challenges.

Angelina Grooms

Angelina Grooms

Administrative Assistant

Angelina is a North Carolina native who moved to Ohio in 2011. She joined Team Burnside in October 2016. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in marketing and hopes to one day receive her Master’s. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading, playing piano, and spending her time with her husband and two beautiful daughters.

Angelina’s bright personality makes each of our clients feel welcome from the very first phone call as she is the first point of contact with all of our clients. She is fluent in Spanish, which makes her a valuable asset to our firm.

Cindy Allen

Cindy Allen

Office Manager

Cindy began working for Burnside Law in September 2016. She works behind-the-scenes to ensure that the office staff and clients have everything they need to work together during the legal process. She has over 14 years of experience in office management and brings a fresh perspective to our office environment.

Originally from Hamilton, Ohio, she moved to Scioto County in 1994 to attend Shawnee State University and fell in love with the small-town community, thus deciding to make it her permanent home.

In her spare time, Cindy enjoys traveling, geocaching, and exploring new places.

Patty HowertonPatty Howerton

Legal Assistant II

Patty Howerton joined the Burnside Law team in August 2017, with 15 years experience in the legal field which include Domestic Relations, Probate, Property Dispute Litigation, Evictions, Personal Injury and Real Estate. Patty works very hard to succeed and to make our clients a number one priority.

Patty resides with her husband in South Portsmouth, Kentucky, she has two daughters and two grand-daughters. She enjoys singing, crafting, sewing, crocheting, party-event planning also loves spending time with her family and friends and going fishing and hunting with her husband from time to time.

Pam CraigPam Craig

Legal Assistant I

Pam joined the Burnside Team in December 2017, and brings over 30 years of legal experience with her. She began her legal career as a court reporter in West Virginia, travelling to many different counties to fill in for reporters on leave. After 3 years as a court reporter, she and her husband moved to Florida due to the economic growth in the state, where she turned her attention to paralegal work focused on real estate closings and construction litigation.

After 13 years, Pam and her husband moved back home to West Virginia with their son, where she has continued to work as a paralegal focused on personal injury cases in Huntington, WV. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy gardening, fishing, and hiking.
