Attorney Rob Johnson Elevates His Game

|

Ever since Attorney Robert M. Johnson at Burnside Brankamp Law has been taking on larger cases, he has also taken on an increased role with our firm after being a part of our experienced legal team for more than five years. During that time, he has helped us grow to nearly four times the size of the firm when he started.

Rob has recently handled lien cases (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance matters), which is considered some of the most challenging type of work for lawyers throughout the country. Alas, he likes the challenge.

“Clients come to us in part because they want to make sure their health insurance is protected,” Rob said. “At the same time, they recognize that it is not fair that they pay double when they are in a car accident. They pay their premiums, but the insurance companies, by law, get a windfall by getting reimbursed money they paid out through subrogation. I like the process of negotiation to level that playing field for the client”

As a graduate from South Webster High School (Scioto County) and a star point guard for the boys’ basketball team, Rob has primarily handled many Ohio mid-level car accident and other negligence cases the same way he handles himself on the court—by only taking the right shots and working hard for the benefit of the team. By working with other attorneys at our firm, Rob has developed dynamic and personalized legal solutions to help clients recover their entitled compensation.

Rob has courtroom experience dealing with the following serious injuries:

  • Complex and significant whiplash
  • Torn rotator cuffs
  • Disc herniations
  • Substantial aggravations of preexisting conditions

Rob is married to Nicki, who is a local teacher and track coach, and has two kids, Foster and Caden. For the past two years, he has been the South Webster High School’s mock trial coach.
