Every year, 200,000 children struggle with hunger throughout the state of Kentucky. Many families rely on food banks as a means to provide food for their loved ones. Due to the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, more families than ever are struggling to put food on the table right now.

To assist these families in need, the Kentucky Bar Association Young Lawyers Division teamed up with several food banks in the state to provide meals to those struggling with hunger. Together, they formed the KY Legal Food Frenzy - a friendly competition between law firms, legal offices, and law schools in the state to raise food and funds for those in need. The friendly competition took place from March 1st to March 14th.

Despite the short amount of time our firm had to raise food and funds, we still pulled through. Our firm competed in the small firm category and we raised food and funds equating to over 23,000 pounds of food which will benefit the Facing Hunger Foodbank! Our firm went above and beyond with that amount as it would have beaten the medium firm category winner! Our firm’s hard work for the frenzy was rewarded on October 7th with an eye-catching trophy where it will be displayed at our Ashland office.

It was an honor for our firm to give back to families in need especially during these difficult times. We are proud of the way our team stepped up to this challenge to support this incredible initiative. To everyone that contributed, we thank you for your efforts to support hungry families in our community.
